Karina Gonzalez
Leadership Support Intern
Karina Gonzalez currently serves as the leadership support intern for National Pastoral Migratoria. Karina is the daughter of immigrants from Jalisco, Mexico. Coincidentally, her parents participated in workshops hosted by Pastoral Migratoria, which ultimately helped them obtain their green cards. Her introduction to ministry comes from her time serving and working at Our Lady of the Mount Church in Cicero, IL. Karina is also member is Iskali, a young adult organization based in Chicago, IL. She served as Iskali’s General Assessor and Board Member for 4 years. Karina holds a bachelor’s in urban education and was a dual-language public school teacher for 5 years. She is currently pursuing a Masters in Ministerial Leadership from Boston College and is part of the first cohort of the Nuevo Moment Initiative. Karina is part of a community consecrated to Our Lady of Guadalupe, entrusting life and faith in a special way, seeking to follow Christ through her guidance, intercession, and example. Karina and her husband Jose are parishioners of St. Gerald Catholic Church
